It's a blog saying that each one can take in hand his own development.
In the roles we play nowadays there are entrenched feelings we carry from an early age. When resurrected, some of them tend to hinder us, simply because they appear out of context.
Who does not remember the children's views to get recognition? Views on their bike: "Look, Mom, no hands." As this did not seem to suffice: "Now, without feet." The joke adds the supreme effort to draw attention - after you hear a thud, "Look, Mom, no teeth."
Now adults, we still seek the same smile of approval, but the time and the place are wrong.
